Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Services

Getting a product to market—regardless of whether it is a wholly new invention or a modification of an existing one—is complicated. From our perspective, this process moves through six phases before the product is in the hands of the end customer:

  • Ideation
  • Detailed design
  • Prototyping
  • Production
  • Logistics
  • Sales

Each phase is potentially iterative. For example, one can move from ideation to detailed design and back again many times. As prototypes are made and tested, detailed designs are revisited before final prototypes are approved.

Once final prototypes are approved, production begins, but even in this phase, there are multiple sub-phases such as sample production, and PPAP (production part approval process) production. It is only after the PPAP is approved that full serial production begins. As goods are made and packaged, they enter the logistics pipeline to eventually flow through sales channels.

At
Juscom, Inc., we typically work with customers during the design phase, and assume responsibility for the project from this point through to the beginning of the logistics phase, where we ship goods to the customer's own distribution channels. Many customers partner us earlier in the design phase, and when this happens, we able to guide them to the lowest cost solution for their design objectives.
